Hi, friends!
On the highway yesterday I saw a boat (like a 20 footer) being towed by a Kia Forte. Which ahh…. pretty sure isn’t good for the chassis.
Anyways, have you seen anything recently where you’re scratching your head wondering how it’s working with the laws of physics?
Here’s an old one.

That reminds me of the old IKEA commercials we used to have here.
first time we went to IKEA, I was surprised they would help you strap anything to your roof even if you didn’t have racks!  Don’t think that happens anymore but I will only know if my wife tells me about it.  I send her & my daughters there but want no part of that chaos!
I think Uhaul has local rentals for around $30 plus mileage plus gas, so maybe $100? The risk of screwing up your car’s suspension or shocks seems like it’s worth getting the rental.
Oh God, the lumber Jetta…that was a huge thread on the vortex.
The other day, I saw a plumber’s van with extra large cambered wheels 🤷
Dog wall climbing competitions. They’re all over the internet.

That reminded me of this one I saw over on Reddit a while back, on one of the Dog subs, that was tooooooo true, Mal’s are goodbois & goodgirls, but they are *also* sooooooomething else!😉😆🤣
Yeah, Malinois are nuts. They’re one of those breeds that I wouldn’t have as a pet because I don’t think I could keep them busy and happy enough.
I know several Mals that are wonderful because their people understood they needed a firm but loving hand. And one that was terrifying because it’s person had no clue. But they are a lot! 😂
While I’ve been dog-less for about 5 years, I’d always had German Shepherds. They’re a very easy breed to bond with and they’ll pick their ride-or-die human companion, but they don’t have the energy levels that Mals have.
I couldn’t have one either. Along with the energy level they are super curious and fearless,  so prone to getting into trouble. One of the ones I know got into a fight with a falcon and nearly lost an eye. And that was only one of her adventures.
I love the idea of having a Malinois but definitely can’t handle one at this stage of my family life. Up until two years ago, we had a wonderful wolfish husky X German shepherd. She was tall and lanky and looked exactly like a Tamaskan but darker (maybe she was one, we got her from a rescue agency).

German shepherds are mouthy. Huskies are also very vocal. Was your doggo fantastically chatty???
She was only vocal when someone was at the door. Otherwise she was very quiet and gave intense stares.
This is the only pic I have of her on my phone. The rest are on an external hard drive.
Gorgeous!
She is beautiful!
I never heard of this breed. They’re beautiful!
@hannibal me neither until I was trying to figure out what she might be. I don’t think she was a purebred Tamaskan. She just had the same gene mix as them. She was also a bit wolfish. On walks she would constantly be head down and eyes front, sniffing and stalking. It was unnerving for other dogs. She played well with other dogs once they realized she wasn’t a threat. People used to stop us all the time and ask if she was part wolf. I never got her DNA tested because wolf-dogs are illegal in Washington and I wanted to maintain plausible deniability. She was too sweet and obedient to be significantly part wolf. But who knows? We got her from a rescue center in boonies of Quebec. They also breed sled dogs there. Thanks for this thread! It’s been nice to reminisce about her and the mystery of her genes.
That photo of her is amazing. You need to have it enlarged and framed.
Thanks! My brother took the photo. We planned to print and frame it but never got around to it. I’m going to move that way higher on my to-do list now.
The boater probably stole the Kia as a quick and easy way to move it somewhere else. That’s the only explanation that makes sense.
Impressive they had an aftermarket hitch to attach to that stolen Kia!
Work related… dipshits aka management thought it would be a good idea to disable an electrostatic discharge safety system aka grounding because of aesthetics. I was really unhappy to come to work and find out.
Being the safety guy and the dept subject matter expert on grounding (I still pretend I’m an electrical engineer), I wrote an email and had to remind them that they were breaking the law and could go to jail or be fined for that if something happens or someone was in a really pissy mood and wanted to rat them out to the ministry of labor (ahem.) FYI, it is against the law (till Premier Doofus Ford and his gang of misfit morons decides otherwise) to intentionally disable any safety system.
I cannot fathom being as stupid as your management.
Neither can I and I work there.
I’ve seen a bunch of videos of these idiots that do this & it does explain Trump voters but this one has me thinking the physics don’t work out & it may be doctored?
Yeah, I’m not sure about that. 🤨
we’ll tow anything with anything over here….so a forte towing a boat doesnt surprise me
even the little cars can tow a surprising amount
now….getting said towed load stopped again once you got it moving….lets just say thats not a forte of the little cars
…….hills may also prove problematic
“He is burning a bit rich, eh?”
This doesn’t defy physics, but rather confirms them. (Apologies, as I have posted this previously, but it’s a favorite.)
