If it’s my time, well I’m going out alone

  1. i’ll see your chevelle…and raise you a charger

  2. Chevelle, Charger, and now…Mus-Twangs out of Chicago, Illinois.

    • The Mus-Twangs were the backup band for Chicago doo-woppers The Four Uniques (pictured below), out of the Northwest side of Chicago (K-town!). They consisted of Ken Riccardo, Drew Rezula, Lonnie Wiel and Mike Brando.

They Recorded on the Chicago based label Adam Records

Here is an audio-only sample of The Four Uniques.

      • apropos of uhh…well honestly coz i can…i gotta keep the musclecar chain going

      • Dreamy. All of them. I don’t what it was about the era, the Bryl-Creem, the clean-shaveness, the formal wear, but all the men seem like they were so much more attractive than the schlubs you see wandering the streets today. I mean, I don’t expect men to wear Brooks Brothers to the local CVS, welcome as that would be, but they also don’t need to dress like they’re at an underground club and it’s 3 in the morning. I get self-conscious wearing my faux-LuluLemon yoga pants to physical therapy. Around here you could show up as the best man at someone’s wedding in those yoga pants and you’d be fine.

And while we’re on the subject, and SplinterRip is away, Jacob Rees-Mogg (SplinterRIP’s bête noire) lost his seat in North Somerset. Oh, how I will miss him. He would not be caught dead in faux-LuluLemon yoga pants.

        • somewhere along the line being a sharp dressed man got dropped and it turned into being a fashionably dressed man…and then it turned into individualism…and stylistically its been a hot mess since then darling

          but you knew that
