Dumb shit the so-called President has been allowed to say this weekend, ranked.

I can't be bothered to Google another picture of this big dumb jerk anymore.

1.) Bragging about the ratings for his increasingly distressing-ass press conferences.

2.) Lying about America leading the world in testing when they’ve only test 0.2 of the population.

3.) Generally being a sexist dipshit to Yamiche Alcindor, because he hates black people and women.

4.) Insinuating that New York City mayor Bill De Blasio and New York state governor Andrew Cuomo are hoarding masks. Via Rev

That statement was made that they’ve been delivering for years, 10 to 20,000 masks. Okay. It’s a New York hospital. It’s packed all the time. How do you go from 10 to 20 to 300,000? 10 to 20,000 masks, to 300,000. even though this is different, something’s going on. And you ought to look into it as reporters. Where are the masks going? Are they going out the back door? How do you go from 10,000 to 300,000?

No, I want the people in New York to check Governor Cuomo, Mayor de Blasio, that when a hospital that’s getting 10,000 masks goes to 300,000 masks during the same period, and that’s a rapid period, I would like them to check that, because I hear stories like that all the time. We’re delivering millions and millions of different products, and all we do is hear, “Can you get some more?” But when you hear that, and I heard that from one of the great companies of the world, that doing this, it’s a client, and they’re going from, you heard it, 10,000, 20,000 tops, to 300,000, and that’s a hospital that’s always full, so I think people should check that, because there’s something going on. I don’t think it’s hoarding, I think it’s maybe worse than hoarding. But check it out.

5.) Claiming the FDA has approved the use of anti-malaria meds to treat COVID-19. It won’t shock you to know that’s a lie.

5.) Getting hit by a bus full of incompetence and con artistry.

6.) Fake news spreader accuses actual news organizations of spreading fake news.

  1. I’ve seen colleagues treating their patients for covid with hydroxychloroquine and statements in their notes like “While no evidence for it, it’s currently recommended by the CDC.”

Now all the rheumatologic patients are going to be short on their medication because we’re using it for something it doesn’t work on.

    • Two of my colleagues are from Africa, and they both laughed out loud when Trump floated this medication as a treatment for COVID-19. They say back home, people crush it up and people in water bottles, and it still doesn’t prevent the thing it’s supposed to prevent.

I also have some customers who are doctors who are positively ready to body slam Trump through the core of the Earth for the unending stream of misinformation that they have to fuckin’ sort through every week.

    • There were also MANY reports over the weekend, of pharmacists refusing to fill scrips from MD’s who don’t treat RA & Lupus patients, who were suddenly writing them for themselves & their family members.

And then there was THIS terrifying** stuff from Buzzfeed, that Kaiser’s lupus patients were receiving:

“Thank You for your sacrifice”… like they had offered themselves for fucking Tribute or something…

**as someone who’s at risk myself– ‘beetus and reactive airways (with a history of regular bouts of bronchitis if I’m *at all* forced to be around cigarette smoke), and who works at a grocery store & needs to pay bills (so can’t simply quit), and who is also trying to keep a “ring” of low exposure around my immunocompromised roommate, the very *idea* that someone else is being denied their VERY needed meds is horrifying thing.

My roommate would be 100% confined to her bed, were she not able to access her meds (as it IS, she hasn’t been able to get out into her wheelchair, because the barometric pressure is wreaking havoc with her disorder lately!).
And I would have… let’s be honest here, for a *short* time, I might do ok. But within a few months/a couple years, I’d be in SEVERE health difficulties, with lost vision, peripheral nerve & vascular damage, and eventually I would die of damage to my heart (heart attack?), brain (stroke),or extremities (probably sepsis or gangrene), due to my diabetes. (FWIW, I have symptoms of *both* type 1 and type 2, because YES I’m overweight, but I’ve also had enough pancreas trauma over the last couple decades, that it evidently did significant damage to the 1/3 of my pancreas that was able to stay after my distal pancreatectomy)

  2. The “Trump Make America Great Again Committee” ads that are all over news sites crack me up,lately.

Because if the choice is a “Do Nothing Democrat” or “Doing Something Trump”… I’ll choose the one who’s doing nothing that’s likely to KILL people, thankyouverymuch!

I tried to link a pic, but can’t share the screenshot, let’s see if this works instead:

    • Politicians should have to follow some form of the Hippocratic Oath: First do no harm. If you aren’t being helpful, shut the fuck up. But Trump can’t shut up — he has to bray ignorantly because somebody told him about his “ratings.”

When I think about it, it’s the same model used by Fox News.

    • If only he would go off in a corner and actually do nothing for the rest of his damned term. Just sit there and be quiet and play games on his phone and eat hamberders or whatever.

      fuck.

  3. wait- is he still going on about anti-malarials?

didn’t somebody die from that, like, last week or something?

This should be fucking illegal (not like that matters…)

    • Yep, the man from Arizona, who consumed the koi-pond cleaner along with his wife.

Because they *thought* it was the same thing Dolt-45 was recommending, and they figured they’d take it prophylactically…🙃
