War in Ukraine continues. Russia still driving hard in Donbass in meat wave/meat grinder attacks. Ukraine holding out for reloads and new equipment from the West.

Today in Trumplandia:

DJT Stock rises to its highest point since 6 months ago. Looks to my wary eyes more a dead cat bounce and folks doubling down in desperation (not financial advice.)

Trump’s bad week in court. Expect more incoherence, farting and snoozing.

Today in Stupid Toronto Sprots:

Leafs lose bad to the goddamned Bruins and continue the 2000s tradition of sucking large in the playoffs down 3 games to 1 in a best (hah) of 7. I would be upset if I didn’t have my Leafs fandom surgically removed for my sanity.

  2. Oh no. Oh no no no no. That dog taking a nap on the other dog’s back…It is too much. It’s bad enough when I wake up and Faithful Hound is snoozing away on one of my legs or an arm and part of my chest, but he’s never…wait. What am I saying? If I am lying on my side trying to get some well-earned shut-eye he will climb up my back and snuggle in for the duration. He is a very good boy. 11 years old in three months!

      • The heat is a little too much for him so what I do is I turn on the a/c. He hates the feeling of the cold air actually hitting his nun’s habit (if you can picture a black Lab you’ll know what I mean about the ears) and he’ll curl up on the blanket on the floor next to my side of the bed. Which, BTW, is a mere three or four steps from one of his many beds, but in the summer he likes that. That way, he enjoys the cooling temps but he doesn’t have to endure an Ernest Shackleton-type full Antarctic blast.

        • In warm weather our dog likes her “cooling” bed which is mesh stretched over a raised frame. The extra air circulation seems to be more comfortable.

  7. Apologies all! I was supposed to be on DOT duty this morning and I started it last night and then my son was sick overnight and in a daze, I completely forgot to get back to it. Thank you @ManchuCandidate for diving into the emergency. I’ll flog myself later, after a nap.
