  1. Oh yes, I am thoroughly up to date about Handsy. I subscribe to about a half-dozen daily NYC/New York State political newsletters/content aggregators and they send out alerts, so I got wind of this last night. We’ll see if it goes anywhere.

    In the meantime, for reasons I can’t remember, I went to Handsy’s Mom’s wikipedia page. This is the first sentence:

    Matilda Cuomo (née Mattia Raffa; born September 16, 1931) is an American advocate for women and children, former First Lady of New York from 1983 to 1994, and matriarch of the Cuomo family.

    I wonder if she’s willing to be an advocate for the women, this woman in particular, who are young enough to be her oldest son’s children?

    You know who’s not advocating pro or con are his ex-wife Kerry Kennedy (if I were a member of the Kennedy clan I wouldn’t weigh in on sexual predation among men–) and ex-FWB Sandra Lee. Sandy, America’s sweetheart, has moved on, and is “dating” “[Ben] Youcef, 42, is a nonprofit interfaith leader, as well as a father of two.” So on the plus side, Ben Youcef is hot. On the minus side, it’s not really clear if he’s actually legally divorced, and “nonprofit interfaith leader” is a roundabout way of saying “grifter extraordinaire.”

      Not me. There have been a lot of terrible hot takes these past two years (avocados are bad? what?) and there needs to be a reckoning.

      Unfortunately, a lot of those bad takes are mine, and that won’t do, so I need to figure out how to hack the server and cover my tracks.

       

      But man, that Romney-Sinema thing has so many layers, each more awful than the last.

       

      No kidding. You’d think the guy who has always treated the legacy of his father as a burden might not pick Ted Lasso, but avoiding seeing ironies is part of Romney’s foundation.

    (i forgot 18 year old boys are basically walking bad ideas that need constant monitoring to prevent them doing something they think will be hilarious but will get them fired…or set them on fire….im exhausted)
