As we enter 2023, I thought that the DeadSplinterati might enjoy looking back at the most commented-upon posts from 2022.
Our dearest Cousin Matthew garnered many comments and a rousing discussion with his Celebrity Sunday Matinee: Angela Lansbury’s Angel Hair Pasta with Fresh Summer Tomatoes. Who doesn’t like “dish” from the golden age of Hollywood?
Butcher’s Bohemian Nut Slices were commented on by those who appreciate his Grandmother’s recipes, those willing to argue nuts, and those with a fear of baking yeast. Regardless, a delicious dessert.
BigDamnHeroes had quite a few post comments on their scrumptious Seared Halloumi, Shawarma-Spiced Halloumi over Rice, and Za’atar-Crusted Halloumi over Couscous and Roasted Veggies. A discussion was had as to where to find the elusive halloumi in the wild, in addition to food kits.
Finally, FYCE has continued to be rich in the recipes for the ubiquitous and much-maligned Bundt cake, over 20 recipes to date. Did you know that if you throw a Bundt cake at Butcher he melts into a pile of goo, much like the wicked witch’s reaction to water?
