It’s obvious that Fox and Friends has no understanding whatsoever of how things work in America. And when the topic of Elizabeth Warren’s poll numbers came up – along with the three chuckleheads not understanding why her poll numbers are strong – leave it to lead bonkbrain Ainsley Earhardt, whose only redeeming feature seems to be when all the horny Young Republicans tune in to see if her outfit might offer a glimpse of side boob, came up with this little bon mot:
“I don’t understand how that message, how she’s doing so well, with that message, you have more than I do, I want to take some of yours … That’s not the American way! The American way is to work your tail off! Keep working! Say yes, say yes, work weekends, work nights, work your way to the top!!”
That’s right, folks. How dare you ask for a living wage and work one job, then come home and plop your tush into your Barcalounger and finish binge-watching The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, when you can work a 9-5, then drive for as many ride share companies as possible, and on the weekends you can pick up the morning shift at McDonald’s and then ask your boss for overtime! Why should you take time to see your kids and your spouse? Shame on you for having kids and spouses! And rent and cable and electricity? Well, excu-u-u-u-u-u-use you for living!!
Well we all know time idle is the devils time. Besides we can’t have those filthy poors out in public in their space enjoying themselves, how else can they show they are better?
She’s gonna retire young with piles of money, so yeah no. Her words are empty bullshit.
Funny thing how folks with the most privilege tend to frame any kind of social assistance as unearned handouts.
Love the name it gives me quite the chuckle at work. But agreed they just keep pushing the bootstrap narrative and could give a shit less about those less fortunate. Empathy is not their strongest quality.
