4. …toy story…will probably be fine & all but I might not be in any rush for a fifth dose

   …the christophers kinda dinged itself early doors but I might be willing to hope the proportion of corden is about the same as the trailer & he won’t spoil it for me…so…wouldn’t object but probably less likely to remember than I’d have been?

   …the audacity might be good but it’s harder to find the funny with that stuff than when halt & catch fire & stuff like silicon valley were doing it…good cast, though…maybe I’ll come around to the idea

   …lanterns…could be fine…it has a lower bar to clear than maybe anything but ghost-rider by way of managing to be the best effort to date…but…the laterns are a pretty daft conceit so it’s not an easy needle to thread to find a tone that works…like…the actual oath is all big ticket grand stuff…but…the other colors & the part where the source of all the super-hero-y stuff is via super-advanced aliens who kinda have a morals-grift thing going where they take advantage of people feeling obliged to take them up on being a sort of intergalactic constabulary with all these powers to help them do that but the management don’t exactly seem to do…anything much themselves…which gets a bit strange if you think about it…&…green=will-power-is-key…not quite “just got to want it enough” but maybe close enough they go there for the “who’s doing it the right way?” angle the trailer seems to suggest…I dunno…I got no real beef with the thing but it is hard to feel particularly excited & that sort of leaves me feeling like I’ve been mean to people who put in a bunch of effort before I even watched it?

   …sunny nights looks like it could be pretty funny in a dysfunctional sort of a way…& no activity was…so…I’m game to find out

   …mermaid…either that’s gonna work really well or be weirder than hell…rooting for them to stick the landing, I guess

   …scary movie…not actually sure I ever sat through a whole one of those…maybe they’re funny…I dunno…probably I never got over someone getting upset with me because we’d watched scream & I’d laughed my way through it & they saw the funny side but here & there asked what was so funny & at no point been scared…& then they watched scream 2 with some other friends & weren’t prepared for it scaring them when nobody seemed to be laughing…&…well…they seemed pretty emphatic about that being my fault they got scared…me being in different country at the time & entirely unaware it happened until some weeks later did not do as much as you’d think to reduce that…unless the way that worked is actually they were way more mad at me than already seemed kind of more than I could honestly say I remember being prepared for?

   …either way…I can respect the density of referential gags & maybe it’s implicit bias but I’d probably watch a deadpool movie again if that was the kind of fix I was jonesing for…or…I guess army of darkness or something if it needed to be a horror flick for some reason?

   …MPCs & such are all sorts of cool & clever & more portable now…& you can emulate the OG emulators on a phone pretty much…but what those people got out of those devices was as incredible as the stuff people like qbert did with turntables & a mixer

   …they do other stuff…the tiny bareboard pocket operator ones were the first thing from them I remember & those are also cool & way cheaper…but if their TP-7 is maybe the thing the guy who made the first dictaphone was dreaming about before building the nearest approximation they could…their OP-1 might be the SP-1200’s equivalent

   …I know I have no earthly way to claim buying either wouldn’t be a waste of money in my case…& yet…I still remembered where to find the link without having to look it up…so…I dunno…they’re pretty nifty if you ask me?

6. f1 starting again this weekend…new rules..new cars.. not sure its gonna be interesting or an improvement…

   but on the upside…aston martin built the worlds fastest vibrator on wheels instead of a race car… interesting tactic…doesnt seem to be working out for them
