The only thing that matters is the Wright Usonian houses. What I wouldn’t give to live in one of them. Although it would have to be in Westchester or Fairfield or Litchfield County, not Michigan. Which I’ve been to, many times, and it’s lovely, but it’s not for me.
I have read three Wright biographies and a fan-fic novel about him. A genius and a total asshole, like so many geniuses are. I have also, in my amateurish way, studied his architectural precepts. This reminds me. BH is itching to redo the apartment again. I can’t remember the last time we did a reno. Six years ago I think. Maybe for the next one we’ll cover the walls in wooden planking and stone. Bring a little Fallingwater into Manhattan. Although I don’t think our downstairs neighbors would appreciate us tacking on a few terraces and installing a waterfall.
I’m probably the target audience for the new Road House, but if you tell anyone, I’ll deny it.
The key is to show up in some little town, watch the movie, then disappear like the wind leaving everyone to wonder “who was that guy?”

…not all of them now that there’s a whole slice of sort of american/western anime that looks like manga & even some broad overlap…because a lot of that tends to at least minimise that stuff if not avoid it…but there was one…something about an uncle…hang on, I’ll check or this is all a bit pointless…my uncle from another world
…it…takes an unusually self-aware stance about that component of the thing & overall wasn’t bad, if you haven’t seen it already
