$2.9 million dollars to live in a falling-down shack obviously constructed from construction scraps found at the town dump. If the town even has a dump. Maybe it’s all been dumped on the property, which granted is quite a lot acres. According to the listing you have to put in your own well. There’s no source of potable water.
You know who’s going to buy this? A family involved in plural marriage or several…preppers. You know it’s perfect for preppers. The weird outbuildings and the barn. You know there are underground spaces/shelters.

The land is beautiful though.
The land is very beautiful. It’s a beautiful country if you can get off the highways and access small roads that might go through areas like this. One of my favorite road-trip partners feels the same way. He’ll take a wrong turn and three days later we’ll have traveled through God knows where (not where we intended to go) but we’re always perfectly content.
Awfully rocky though. A hard place for farming and disposing of your enemies.
Oh, by the way, I know how to make moonshine. I’ve seen it being made. When I was in college I had a friend from Ohio but I can’t remember where. I happened to be there when she and her parents showed up to move her in to my dorm on the first day of freshman year. Her father brought a still! So we had a little “welcome to campus” hootenanny. It was so fun. We were lucky we weren’t expelled immediately, but we were given a pass. “Youthful indiscretion.”

…so…will be watching the umbrella academy…& might be willing to watch the family affair one…but someone else would probably need to suggest it because netflix is quite certain I only want subtitled stuff…the manga I get…but its insistent desire to get me into bollywood remains a bit of an algorithmic mystery…pretty sure I can’t pin that one on farscythe’s influence, either
…not sure if “wolfs” is directly meant to be a reference to harvey keitel’s winston wolf in pulp fiction but I think that one is probably going on the watchlist
…which leaves the serious-movie-which-might-teach-you-something-about-the-human-condition…which…on the right day I’d roll with…but I think most days that’s not the mood I’m in or the cinema I’m looking for…so…again with probably needing a reminder, too?

I tried watching the first season of “Umbrella Academy”, and I could not stick with it. Everyone was unpleasant? That’s what I vaguely remember. Was there a monkey? I think there was a chimpanzee.
My impression of “Wolfs” matches @SplinterRIP‘s, and I might just watch that. Probably my favorite part of the “OceansNN” franchise was the way Clooney and Pitt played off each other. Just great rhythm and flow between them.

…& there is/was a monkey…head is a person…so…more of a man-ape…but most of them are…as you say…not likeable exactly
…maybe I cut it extra slack because I’d read them…& maybe they’re less dislike-able as differently-traumatised kids from the same insane experiment to make superheroes a thing on the page
…it gets/got pretty out there, too…but…more doom patrol than legion…& my mileage was better with the former than the latter?
…now…if someone made a TV show out of the invisibles…that I might advise bearing with to see if it’s worth the payoff…but grant morrison has been shopping it around for…getting on for a decade, maybe…so…I wouldn’t get overly introspective about preferring not to persist with the unlikeable protagonists show?
