The listing says one of the amenities is “equestrian.” I assume that means it comes with stables but probably not horses. Pick up a couple of horses at the next horse auction. They must have them often. And then ride a horse to Venice. They must have some stabling on the mainland side.

…I mean…it’ll probably be fine…& maybe even fun…but…the leading theory I’ve heard is that remakes allow for hanging onto the income stream from IP that’s otherwise headed for the public domain because the new copyright includes the old one that could have expired?
…plus…it gets people like me to think “I could rewatch that & see if it’s as good as I remember it being”…so it works for them, I guess
…the F1 flick might be entertaining & doubtless at some point in the gladiator one someone will ask if some audience is entertained…which they probably will be…but that one I don’t think they “needed” to make the way they remade alfie & get carter & so on & so forth

Sports media though keeps doing the “Bird vs Magic, but only it’s women!” thing.
“Teen Vogue,” of all places, had great, substantive interviews, political coverage, advocacy, you name it. I used to read it, and I’m not a teenage woman. Of course Condé unceremoniously shut it down in its fourth year. Stick to…fast fashion for teens? I don’t know.
As much as I hate the tenor and tone of the coverage, it’s probably good for the WNBA because that’s the only prism sports media seems to understand.
It also speaks to how much worse political coverage could get, because very little sports media is actually about, you know, the sport itself.
The upcoming coverage of the Olympics is guaranteed to be as bad as always, and it’s because media execs are convinced that all content is mostly the same and any serious knowledge is wasted. Yell a bunch, use the same buzzwords about intensity and desire, and call it a day.
Which also explains a lot about why political coverage is so bad too.

I’ve told this story before but one of the “little people” in Time Bandits was a substitute teacher at my high school. I think he was in Under the Rainbow too. He was a really cool dude & would spend his entire subbing day telling movie stories.
“Did they need to remake…” is about 97% of the time a very hard no.
I have a funny thing about “Time Bandits” because I loved sci-fi as a kid and got to watch it but probably too young to really get it and was very “meh” about it and said so for a long time. Then I rewatched it in my early 20s and was like oh I was wrong wrong about this, this rules.
Gladiator 2: incredible cast, completely unnecessary, I will watch and try not to be bitterly disappointed.
gotta say…the f1 movie looks like it will be absolutely terribad…lol…ill still have to watch it tho
