Also, in Belize – you can buy land and get the Mennonites to build you some houses. They’re a little spartan but fairly inexpensive and would do the trick.

I think I’d feel a little more comfortable with that Irish house if it was set back a bit further from the cliffs.
Of course I expect both rainforest houses have their own issues with erosion.
They’re all spectacular locations, regardless. Probably best to just budget double for rebuilding.
