GOP Voter Purge Update, Wisconsin: Still Going Strong

Back in December, we covered a bit of the GOP push to overturn the voter rolls in key states; Wisconsin was one, and they are relentless.

In brief: In October 2019, the Wisconsin elections commission sent out voter address verifications; the head of the conservative Wisconsin Institute for Law and Liberty (of course) filed a lawsuit to have the voters who hadn’t responded purged; the judge ordered the Purge to move forward despite appeals having been filed; but…

The bipartisan elections commission hasn’t done it yet, prompting lawsuit-bringer Rick Esenberg to ask the judge to fine the members $2000 each per day for being in contempt.

Their targeted efforts likely may affect the outcome of the 2020 elections, which is surely the goal.

Vote, as though you may never have the chance again.
