What great successes did you have this weekend?
I made a lovely lentil salad. I also raked up alllllll the leaves and bagged them for pickup. And most importantly, I remembered to wear the safety glasses to keep all the crap out of my eyes!
Cleaned the house (vacuuming too) and washed the dishes.
Less successful… Found out from Farcebook and from my friend (who had someone who is basically a RW bot farm in human form) that they’re tying themselves in knots trying to defend Trump. One (like Meg R. Kelly) has a 14 year old daughter. Ugh.
I really don’t understand being ride or die for any politician.
Like my whole family thought my cousin’s husband was a good dude. Then we were all wrong.
And that’s someone we all knew personally for years. Why would I assume a politician had to be a “good one” or whatever?
Successfully avoided by wife who came home sick on Thursday w/ no voice. Been a quiet weekend w/ her sleeping a lot & me having lots of bonding time w/ my couch and football/basketball games. I did get out and picked up my wine club allotment I have been putting off at my friend’s winery. I also harvested the last of my Thai chilis and made a garlic chili hot sauce. Unfortunately, I still have at least 50 leftover chilis & my freezer is full of them already.
So I don’t sound like a total asshole, I did make her tea & hot and sour soup so didn’t completely avoid her.
To be fair, I’d stay away from anyone sick. Especially since there is a nasty flu that isn’t covered by this year’s flu shot. It’s called variant K. K for Kennedy?
Can you just dry the chilis and figure it out later? I lazily left a pile of cayenne peppers on my countertop and they dried themselves with no effort on my part.
Yeah, that’s probably what will happen at this point. Some have already started drying on the plant so just need to find the counter space to spread them out so they don’t mold.
i am having a very visceral reminder as to why i stopped drinking til yesterday….i am definitely never drinking again til next time
