Hi, friends!
It’s Halloween and when this posts, I’ll hopefully be handing out candy to a bunch of sugar-buzzed kids. My first Halloween in this house was sleeting and bad covid issues in St Louis, so I had very few trick or treaters. Last year I was out of town for the day, so no clue. This year I am all sorts of excited! Fingers crossed it’s busy.
Cold. Rain. So far… two kids.
Despite crummy weather, we’ve had a bunch so far.
My block had its traditional pre-trick or treat pizza party too despite the drizzle and had a healthy number of attendees.
My neighbor across the street has set up a spinning wheel of chance for treats — anything from $2, a whole candy bar, a minibox of cereal, glow bracelet, to prunes.
Rain falling. 2 kids. And now no baseball..what a crappy Halloween.
We had 100 kids, down from 150 last year. Most of them were teens but they all had costumes and weren’t assholes. I think they missed a few Trick or Treats due to Covid and we’re making up for it.
I was sure I way overbought on candy, and damned if I haven’t gone through two gallons of it.
Excellent Halloween. Didn’t count the kids but they just about equaled our candy, so winning.
First place in the decorating contest. THAT’S RIGHT BITCHES I AINT PUTTING ON FESTIVALS FOR THE LIBRARY ANY MORE AND I’M COMING FOR YOU.
Team Bryanlsplinter!!!!
Fuck yeah! That’s awesome!
Damn right you won!
Eh. Your neighbor would have won if you didn’t have those meddlesome kids and that big dog interfering for you at every turn.
We just got our first & probably only trick or treaters at almost 8pm.
I had a box of 30 full size candy bars, I ate two this week and gave three to someone. I gave out all the rest, plus 3 trickortreaters stopped by even though all my lights were off.
Pretty good ratio, and didn’t end up with lots of leftovers.
