Happy Hour [1/5/20]

You don’t have to drink alone.

Quarantine is turning my brain to mush. I’m spending far too much time reading senseless crap online. But every once in a while I stumble across something meaningful. Like this Boing Boing item about Austin, Texas artist Tim Wakefield. Wakefield creates incredible artwork based on the sound waves of audio recordings. These limited edition prints are signed by the musicians and a portion of the proceeds from each sale are donated to worthy charities including Children in Conflict/War Child, and MusiCorps.

And now Wakefield is giving 100% of the profits from the sale of I’m Amazed signed by the members of My Morning Jacket to the Sweet Relief Musicians Fund emergency Covid 19 fund to benefit musicians and music industry workers in need.

If you need a gift for the music lover in your life, or are tired of looking at the same old art on your walls, check out Soundwaves Art Foundation.

    • It really is. The other day I was buying something online and had to create an account. I typed in a zip code from 30 years ago! The one from my childhood home. 😣
