Retired firefighter Kevin Francis has won this year’s Britain’s Best Pub Shed award. You can see more pics of the Engine House and the runners-up here. Most of us don’t need a fully operating pub in our backyard, but this got me thinking about all the other possible hobby sheds a DeadSplinter might want. A BBQ shack, library, greenhouse, or gaming room? I would love a tiny home yoga studio with a meditation area. And since money is no object when we’re dreaming a sensory deprivation tank.

well….im from oppo…so i’d want a beer shed with a full sized garage a car lift and stone pizza oven
maybe an xbox in the beer shed too
as beer and pizza followed by gaming or something is pretty much the universal valuta for freebie wrenching help…i’d be fully self sufficient….at getting mates to do work for me
A car lift is a great idea! I have no doubt your friends would enjoy hanging out, working on cars while drinking beer and eating pizza.
My man cave is on the top floor (not pictured is my wine fridge & a giant mess of brewing equipment and boxes of wine). One of the buddies that helped me do my kitchen this week helped me build this.
That’s really nice. I love the aesthetic of it. Some of the Pub Sheds are too kitschy for my taste.

My new goal in life is to watch the Leafs lose a Game 7 in your man cave, so I can pull the lever on the bar stool to sink all the way down, just to bring the metaphor to life!

I don’t usually show hockey at my bar but will make an exception for that situation & even provide a cry-mate for you that is also a Leafs fan from Kitchner & regular at my bar.

Definitely a greenhouse! I’d save up for one now except thanks to the neighbors’ lovely tall trees, there isn’t a spot with enough sunlight in my backyard.
My neighbor has a greenhouse, it’s huge, takes up half the backyard. It was his wife’s. She passed away a couple of years ago. He built it for her and it’s beautiful, a labor of love.
