Happy Hour [22/1/21]

I need a drink.

It’s National Blonde Brownie Day. Brownies being the ultimate sweet baked good, it’s a holiday I wholeheartedly embrace. But it’s Happy Hour so let’s talk dessert drinks.

The Blonde Brownie Martini

  • 1 oz Godiva White Chocolate Liqueur
  • 1 oz Bailey’s Caramel Irish Cream
  • 1 oz cream
  • pinch of sea salt
  • ice

Add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker, shake until blended, strain into a chilled martini glass swirled with chocolate sauce. Garnish with a wedge of Blondie or chocolate shavings.

If you’re a beer buff you might prefer one of the many pastry beers available. Like Kees Caramel Fudge Stout.

If you’ve got a killer recipe for Blondies, baked or liquid, drop it in the comments. Do the same for any dessert beer recommendations. Or just tell us what you’re sipping tonight.

  2. Congratulations farscythe, lol! You’d be a very rich man if you were. Nothing wrong with the local prisoners I’m sure. And a good burger is hard to beat.

  3. Just enjoyed another Irish Death with my late lunch. I worked on Monday, so taking today off. Lady Miss Meme and I completed a tough loop at the XC ski area here. So, might be time for a nap.

  4. Speaking of sweet –  the House is sending the articles of impeachment to the Senate of Monday. I think Nancy just told Mitch to take get out of the way!

  5. Sorry for dropping this here, but I’m at both jobs today, and only have about a half hour left before job 2,

Haven’t had time to check the DOT yet, because I ran behind this morning…
So Apologies if it was already shared, but it’s INTERESTING (infuriating, too, tbh–although NOT surprising!)
