Happy Hour [22/7/22]

I need a drink

Gotta keep the beverages chilled. What’s your preferred method, Deadsplinters? Are you using a high-end insulated model or cheap styrofoam? Ice or gel packs? Do you like koozis or neoprene sleeves for individual bottles or cans? Let us know how you stay frosty in this heat.

  1. when my fridge is full…i use a lifers shopping bag…you know.. the fancy ones they sell in the shop…thick plastic with a flat bottom

they hold 12 beers and 2 kg of ice cubes easy…and they dont leak

i call it my ghetto fridge

  2. I just bought a pack of reusable aluminum cups for outside drinking as an alternative to Solo cups.  But it just occurred to me that they must sweat like crazy in the heat. I may have to take a beer outside to test that hypothesis.

  3. I have one of these for wine on hot days. You keep it in the fridge and it has a frozen gel inside. Works great. Otherwise, can’t go wrong with the yetis I steal from the office. There will still be ice in them the next day.

  4. Ooh, that’s pretty. I have a Yeti cooler and a couple of the tumblers. They do keep stuff cold. But I ordered an Arctic Freeze to keep in the car for the farmer’s market. You can use it with or without the wheels and it folds up so I can keep it in the car. We’ll see how well it works.
