There’s no use crying over spilled wine. Burst tanks in São Lourenço do Bairro, Portugal, flooded the streets with roughly 581,000 gallons of wine. What’s the best way to remove red wine stains? Asking for some Portuguese friends.

hydrogen peroxide works pretty good
but honestly…..with that amount of red wine…..i vote for drink your fill, wreck the place…and rebuild elsewhere
Fortunately there were no injuries but can you imagine the mess?
i could..but dont really need to
seent the pics
minded me of the good old days…when shit really got out of hand on the weekends…lol
but yeah…..they are going to need to replace a lot of stuff….and if they are lucky…the smell of wine will only linger for a year or 5
And it’s going to turn sour smelling. I feel bad for the folks there.
I got called in today for jury duty, but my number never came up and now I’m done and home.
The place near the courthouse where I grabbed lunch had wine for sale but I didn’t get any, although that might have made me an excellent juror. Now I’m treating myself to an early beer.
Woo hoo! No jury duty. Cheers 🍻
I will do my civic duty if I have to, but I was just as relieved as everyone else in the waiting room when they rang the school bell.
In all my years upon this earth, I’ve never had jury duty. Only been called once, and wasn’t selected. I’ve gotten notices occasionally, but we have an electronic system where you check to see if you need to come in. Never needed to do it.
I was a grand jury once. For 9 damn days. Of the most boring cases. And of course there were a couple of people who asked stupid question after stupid question because they thought they were on an episode of Law and Order or something.
I cannot remember how many times I’ve gone. Ten? Fifteen? Move to a big city and it’s one fact of life, like parallel parking and decision paralysis when it comes to takeout options.
I lived in Atlanta for years. Never got called. It’s just me, I think.
jury duty is another bit of american insanity i cant quite wrap my head around
sure..lets grab a bunch of randos off the street to help determine if someone is guilty or not
…..
thats fucking wierd man…or at the very least…kinda…out dated
its like…having a court full of people what spent a good chunk of their lives studying the laws make a case…..and then throwing a wild card in
(and thats entirely aside from the horror stories ive heard from people unlucky enough to get called up for the really brutal or cp cases….thats not shit you are supposed to throw at normies yo!)
What a mess; the lingering odor will be awful 😖.
Yep, and as funny as it seems there could be some environmental issues from it too.
