Happy Hour [9/6/23]

I need a drink

I need to get some business done before I start pouring drinks. I’m going to Pittsburgh for a memorial service on the 16th of the month. When I get home I’ll be having guests from out of town. I’m looking for someone to cover the Happy Hour on the 16th and 23rd, and the Coffee Break on the 19th.

And now for the fun stuff. Let’s talk ink. Who has it, who wants it, who would never? I don’t, but I’m not opposed to the idea, especially now that there’s a company using semi-permanent ink. It’s designed to fade within 9 to 15 months but you’ve gotta read the fine print, people. Not everyone will see the same results.

  1. i’ll take the 16th….you know…crawl out of my comfort zone for a minute…

far as ink goes….i kinda want some…but still havent settled on what i want actually…..this having been the case for like 15 years now….i suspect it may be a while

  2. Okay. I will do the 16th. Fair warning, I am this Sunday’s DOT. So please come prepared to share current events with the class!

Tattoos. I have none. I find many many to be pretty! The folks I know start with one and before you know it, sleeves, chest, legs are full. Plus, they are expensive. Also, the folks I know all can explain the meaning of/importance to their lives of each tattoo. Even the fellow with a huge Marge Simpson on his calf.

  3. I love tattoos but don’t have any myself. Im worried that I will hate a little part of it and that it will bother me until I die. I’m also brown skinned and would be limited to black ink. The ones I like have bright vibrant colors. I also scar easily and worry what tattooing or tattoo removal will do to my skin. Finally I really liked the idea of tattoos that are somewhat invisible and then glow under blacklights. But they aren’t FDA approved and we all know the FDA will let us ingest all kinds of poisons so that’s saying something.

    • I’m also worried I’d be disappointed and then stuck with it. But if you ever change your mind I’ve seen beautiful vibrant colors on darker skin. A really good artist can do it. 🙂

  4. I don’t have any but the only reason is I’ve never been like fuck yeah I want that permanently on my skin.

I’ve got friends and family with really neat ones and some really important to them. I’m just indecisive.
