It is going to be a scorcher here today so here is how to beat the heat, as shown to me by a baby capybara: Take it slow and try not to move too much.
The whole Ginni Thomas thing – what can anyone really do? I mean, I know she can be arrested but there isn’t really anyone that can fire Clarence. His wife took part in an insurrection to overthrow the US government. You know he knew what was going on. He voted against releasing the info – I think he was the only no vote. If they were liberals or Democrats – the repubs would’ve already hanged them for being traitors. Look at how they’ve hounded Hunter Biden and now Elon is going after Hillary like it’s 2016 and he’s the head of the RNC. People are going to read about this time period in history and think – well, I don’t know what they’re going to think. Also, there is the distinct possibility that there will be no one left.
Iokiyar
If this were a fair world Ginni would be a Condo Board Karen and Clarence would be an ambulance chasing lawyer like my cousin.
Supreme Court Justices can be impeached. It only happened once, Samuel Chase, 1805, (the House does the impeaching) and he was acquitted by the Senate, so no Supreme Court Justice has ever been removed.
Oh Elon, you putz.
Not Biden’s fault you fucked up and overpaid by an order of magnitude for Twotter (sic.)
Not the Dems fault for someone leaking your sexual harrassment boner to the world.
This is the Elon aka thin skinned asshole I met long ago.
Musk is operating straight from the playbook of his new idol Trump:
1. Nothing is his fault
2. Every bad thing is the result of other people who hate him
3. Everyone is out to get him because he’s “wonderful” and they can’t stand it
4. There are no skeletons in his closet but he’s been careful to lay the groundwork to deny anything — he started claiming Democrats were “after” him before the harassment story broke because he knew it was coming
This is a fascinating thread by a reporter that investigated Musk:
Quotes:
First: MUSK’S KEY SKILL IS CONTROLLING INFORMATION. It’s not just crafting appealing narratives about himself and his companies, but also silencing anything that contradicts them. Tesla’s entire history is lined with NDAs, backed by sheer terror of what Musk will do when cornered
That terror comes from another lesson: MUSK DOESN’T REFUTE, HE ATTACKS.
What happened next taught another lesson: MUSK FANS DON’T CARE ABOUT FACTS.
In short: TESLA IS A CONFIDENCE GAME. Confidence in one man and the image he so ruthlessly controls is what holds it all together.
Well, here we are:
Lauren Boebert targeted by same group that took out Madison Cawthorn
I was totally unaware this group had released a “nude thrusting” video of Cawthorn. They’ve said they won’t do the same to Boebert, which kind of implies that one exists? Oh, dear.
It doesn’t sit right with me that it takes yet another shady unaccountable group flinging private dirt to get these people off their positions. You’d hope the bullshit these people (Cawthorn, Boebert, etc) exhibit in public is enough to get them ejected from public office. Now it’s “my dirtbags are better than your dirtbags” which results in piles of dirtbags.
Good point. It basically demonstrates that Republicans have conditioned their dimwitted voting base to such a degree that they will pull the lever for anyone with a R. Their voters apparently can’t distinguish between “legitimate” Republicans and carnival freaks, so establishment Republicans have to resort to the most scurrilous tactics against the radical members of their own “team,” or they can’t burrow through the conditioning and cognitive dissonance to reach their own base.
im a little confused by the sports bra thing…
what are they sposed to wear then?
coz this is the olympics
distracting the male coaches? really?
christianity needs to go
Um. If your coaches are distracted by high school girls in sports bras, the appropriate action is to get rid of the coaches. That’s some groomer behavior right there that they’re supporting.
^ that
It comes across as pretty creepy at first blush so I dug a bit. To be fair, it appears to me to be a female athletic director who told the team the “male coaches were distracted.” I Googled to determine if Ashley Chapple was male or female (she’s female). Looked to me like a fairly spineless attempt to blame the male coaches for a decision in which they had no part, and when confronted Chapple then backpedaled and claimed it was a dress code violation. It does not look like the male coaches made any statement whatsoever.
I don’t think the male coaches are directly at fault here. They don’t seem to be the issue, at least as reported. And if that’s true Chapple should be fired. She could have cost any one of those men their jobs or jeopardized their personal relationships by blaming them for something they didn’t do.
I’m all for rooting out bad behavior but making wild accusations that unfairly malign people can’t be tolerated either.
Agreed, she should be fired. Regardless if the coaches are saying this or she made it up.
It’s really clear to say “AD Chapple spoke out of turn and this does not represent our athletic department nor school district.” and that doesn’t seem to have happened.
“noting their male counterparts were practicing shirtless, too โ”
That’s a bit weird, in this day and age, no?
Yes. Even back in the Cretaceous Era when I was in school, dress code required shirts on boys and girls for sports and physical education. I distinctly remember getting a lecture from a PE teacher about it (the whole class, not just me). And if that was the case in this situation, and it was uniformly enforced, there wouldn’t be a problem here.
