…but…it didn’t pop back into existence with our HTTPS privileges in place again until after our meg had given up on being able to knock out a DOT…so…this may pull double duty as that part but it’s mostly just to say “uh, did the joint get kidnapped by aliens & then come back with missing time?”

It’s honestly sort of funny. The Republicans have bamboozled ignorant people for decades into voting against their interests. So when they face a setback, they fall back to the exact same technique, because the ignorant voters fall for it, so why not? But when everybody can see the lies at the grocery store and gas pump, Republicans can’t recalibrate and come up with a remotely plausible line of defense.
I mean, the most obvious would be empathy. “I know things are tough right now, and we’re working hard to come up with solutions.” But they’re incapable of even pretend concern for normal people.
Not sure if “can’t pretend” or “too terrified to pretend because the actual rich base will start losing their shit publicly if we say anything.” I normally wouldn’t say that, but even Trump seems to be really dead-set on keeping the market open = good Iran news train going, and that man hasn’t had a schedule he’s kept in at least two decades.
