On top of the usuals (working, sleeping, eating, cooking, cleaning, getting a solid 90 seconds of talk with my wife occasionally) here’s what I did this week:
- attended an Avril Lavigne concert with my son on a school night (he’s a fan!)
- finished a large freelance project (most of my “holiday” day)
- attended field day at my son’s school
- attended my son’s recital at school
- coached his baseball game (he won player of the game, and also took a ball off the noggin, real up and down evening)
- got a new cat squeeeeeeee
- but also have been sleeping in the living room with said new cat (considerably less squee)
- went back to my son’s school for a third time this week to see him win an award at a schoolwide assembly (amazing!)
I’m f’n beat, man. Packed a lot into four and a half days! And tomorrow there’s baseball again and I’m helping a friend with another project which will be good but I’m also just like hey could I veg out for maybe 96 hours and just … no? OK.
Phew.
So that’s all I got for this week. What did you pack into your week and/or weekend?
jesus fuck man….how do you pack that much stuff in a week?

I’m trying to close out some farm projects before we take a little vacation next month. Batting about .500 with stuff getting done as opposed to starting a project and finding out it’s really a much bigger project than I thought.
They know me by my first name at the lumber yard now though, and the local hardware store will deliver as long as their daughter can pet some sheep and donkeys.
Today in between thunderstorms, we formed some pig wire into trellises for the tomatoes and field beans. It’s been raining so much I haven’t been able to mow and now it looks like a savannah in the area around the house. I’m talking grass approaching a foot high.
Just tell yourself the high grass is for the pollinators. I’m sure there’s some flowers in there.
Oh shit I needed to do laundry tonight.
Welp guess that’s happening tomorrow.
