I Will Gladly Pay You Tuesday…[DOT 5/5/20]

Rip left me in charge (again). Slacker.

Sorry for the lack of 50 links and interspersed ranting. I’ll do my best to try and keep you up to date. I’m sure there’s a lot going on that I’m missing because I am actually super busy at work. Feel free to fill in the blanks below the line.

That’s a 9/11 every day. NBD.

US daily coronavirus deaths reportedly projected to double to 3,000 by June

Gosh, whom do I believe?

“The Trump administration on Monday pushed back against an internal government report, obtained by the New York Times, that predicts the daily coronavirus death toll could nearly double in the United States by early June.”

You go first, Chris.

“Former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie said Monday that the country needs to reopen, despite separate key coronavirus models forecasting that thousands may die daily in the United States from Covid-19 and that more than 100,000 may die in total.”

Here’s a totally normal thing to do in 2020, apparently.

  2. Thanks, Meg! The article on Kent State is worth reading, and portrays what I remember as a child. CSNY – still so good. And I really hope John Krasinski is as kind and lovely a young man IRL as he appears to be on his show and in interviews.

    • My aunt was at Kent State that day and it was a formative experience for her. After graduation, her and her boyfriend lived in a VW van and drove around the country. After they got married, she became a social worker and dedicated her life to helping others. She was always the ‘hippy’ aunt; she was the best!
