Since the ‘Remain in Mexico’ policy, aka Migrant Protection Protocol, has been in effect, potential immigrants and asylum-seekers have been forced to stay in tent camps just on the other side of the border. It’s crowded, filthy, and unsanitary. It’s also unsafe – immigrants with family on the American side of the border are ripe fruit for kidnappers.
