I learned today that these assholes in charge had no evacuation plan for Americans in the region, did not expect Iran to fire on nearby countries except Israel, bombed the place that had many of the potential next-in-line leaders for Iran, and are using AI to identify strike spots in Iran.
The first one is a complete failure of contingency planning. Especially after other countries started getting evacuations lined up – I saw that Spain had one this morning, for example – the president saying things moved to fast to do it? It was their timing for the attacks you can’t say ohh the situation escalated too fast when it’s your escalations! Immediately figure it out. Immediately. There are plenty of qualified military officials who already know how to do evacuation flights who probably brought this up Saturday morning and were completely ignored.
The second one? Obviously shows no one planning this at Mar-a-Lago has even the most basic understanding of the big denominations of Islam. Shia and Sunni muslims are ideologically at odds like Catholics and Protestants in Northern Ireland in the 1980s. Iran bombing their neighbors? Who also have US embassies and in many cases army bases? That’s an obvious strategic choice.
The third one? Yeah of course they had no actual plan for how Iran transitions from the previous regime to a new one. We all knew that instinctively, this is yet another example of it.
The fourth one? No wonder they are hitting schools and nonmilitary sites.

Yeah but they assume (probably correctly) that they’ll be able to afford ways out, and they would rather be wrong than help anyone who can’t help themselves, American or not. They sincerely don’t care, even about their erstwhile allies.
