Do you have any irrationally annoying and completely unimportant things bothering you right now?
Despite having no interest in seeing the live action Moana movie, I’m not okay with the weird ass completely CGI pig and chicken characters.
Like why do they need to make live action movies of ones that they already made and were great? No comprendo.
I’m reasonably ok with it when it’s old animated movies. But this one is fairly recent!

Ding Ding! Also Hollywood is so fucking devoid of creativity which is why a lot of SF franchises are dying because well… MBA creativity.

I don’t get people who do that. I’m not saying I’d feel better if the person were in a rush, but fuck… I can understand that (won’t like it, but I get that.)
It’s okay cause I ended up passing him anyway and inadvertently (because I wish I were that kind of cunning asshole, but I am not) cut him off as he was trying to snake his dumbass into the left turn lane which he ended up missing.
It made my shift at Brown a little better.
Work was okay. I survived unloading two trailers mostly by myself. And I forgot to take some Advil today so I just endured the sore muscles and joints. I’m starting to get the feel of the work.
My section supervisor seems to be a cool guy. Just demands effort as he knows he’s got a lot of noobs in his team. Doesn’t bother you or demand you hump it to meet a schedule. I find that he puts me and other noobs in trailers that aren’t a rush which is okay with me (unlike some other supervisors.) I especially don’t miss the micromanaging from the Pill Factory especially by numbnuts who have never did the job.
FYI, Brown promotes mostly from within so everyone in the sorting facility (including the engineers and operations managers) has done the dirty grunt work and knows the job unlike the Pill Factory where we mostly have noob shitheads who don’t know shit dictating to us how to do our jobs. It’s where I became the biggest fucking pain in the ass to management and “won” their “respect” and “love.”

…on the live action moana thing…would have to hunt it down but I saw a post that was basically “pictured: villain of the live action moana” & then the sisters from frozen over a caption “the upcoming live action frozen”
…at some point along the trajectory from the poems to cats to the lion king to the lion king theatrical stage extravaganza it seems like the flat circle became a möbius strip
…sometimes it’s fine to like to have the same dish different ways…but sometimes it’s fine to just have the one you liked in the first place over & over
…be cooler if it played by the rules a graffiti guy once tried to explain to me about reuse of walls…you don’t cover the other thing with your thing unless you have confidence people who saw what there was before will agree you could & did do better…otherwise that’s an asshole move & you get known in a way that you probably shouldn’t want to be?
I think the Lion King Broadway show is the best thing in that mix. They added more songs and it’s a fucking amazing musical.
I saw the Frozen Broadway show a few years ago and I was like wow this was a choice they made. To your point about graffiti guy – it wasn’t that it was a bad musical, it just added nothing and didn’t improve on anything.
