prices in, well, *everything*, have been skyrocketing: gas is over $5.15 usd/gallon at the cheapest station near me; pg&e raised their rates 21% in the first 9 weeks of 2022 (the rate increase over the *past 30 years* has only been 30%); everything from diapers to vehicles have gone up exponentially. everyone is talking about inflation; no one is talking about corporate profit margins. until now:
where is the public villification of these corporations for their greed?! those same pandemic-aide-grubbing, no-workers-bemoaning assholes making money hand over fist, because capitalism, baby! fuck the little guy, right into a recession! don’t believe me? let’s check in with the oil producers:
ok, that’s out of my system – for now. tomorrow maybe we’ll get to that pesky worker shortage most everyone is failing to adequately address.
My local supermarket chain is at war with Frito Lay. Apparently won’t stock their chips due to the overinflated prices. Instead there’s a lot of company branded snacks.
It seems many MBAs have read a lot of bad spy novels who keep quoting a Chinese saying about the symbol for crisis is the merging of danger and opportunity. Being typical MBA types they probably just ignore the danger part. I thought the toilet paper hoarders were shitheads, this is the corprate answer.
If the trucker fuckers whined about this then I’d join them. Pitchforks and torches.
This is a great explanation for what is going on but you don’t see him on mainstream media because all the networks are owned or funded by the people making the profits.

Food prices are soaring, but half of that is from meat, which costs 15% more than last year. There are only four major meat processing companies in America, which are all raising their prices and enjoying record profits.
im thinking big meat may have over played their hand some over here
veggie fake meats are now cheaper than actual meat…and more and more people are having meat free days (its a big deal over here…for centuries our diet has been potatos, a veg of some kind and a meat of some kind in various configurations)
anyways…i love meat…but im not paying what they are asking now
also still waiting for vat grown meat…
“Big meat”
It occurred to me the other day that average working people siding with mega corporations and the ultra-rich against other average working people is classic Stockholm Syndrome.
* read in a shrill, whiny voice *
But they’re job creators!
Listen if we just did a few pizza parties, the worker shortage would be over ASAP!
