2/ We found at least 79 children hurt by tear gas or pepper spray during Trump’s deportation blitz. It’s likely a vast underestimate.Kids were at home, sitting in strollers or attending a daytime protest with their parents. Then, chemicals left them gasping for air.
3/ Videos show how immigration agents have used these weapons: at one point, officers hurl tear gas canisters at protesters without apparent provocation. Then, with the street flooded in white smoke, a CBP agent shoots pepper balls before muttering “Fuck yeah,” and “Woo!”
4/ Another officer fired pepper spray through a car window, hitting a 1-year-old girl in the back seat. A bystander filmed her in tears. DHS called the incident a “hoax.” But, as a local pastor at the scene testified later, “there’s literally video evidence.”
6/ These weapons are especially toxic to children, who breathe more rapidly than adults, pulling in more contaminated air relative to their body weight. There are no studies of long-term effects on kids, but studies on adults show lingering eye issues and respiratory illnesses.
9/ Judges have said ICE and CBP officers used excessive force and ordered agents to limit the use of these weapons. But they had no power to curb the practice nationwide, and kids in other communities continued to get hurt. (Appellate courts later overturned these decisions.)

This is actually really fun, that’s called a floating point error. It’s an artifact that comes from it being hard to convert binary numbers into base-10 and back so that both the computer and people can read them. I’ve never seen that in a spreadsheet though
