How is your day going? I had a headache last night that I woke up with and has persisted all day. We have really gusty winds and gross air outside, so I assume that’s a big cause. Blowing pollen and dust all over, too.
In other news, a person today me to mix bleach and ammonia to clean my drains. I did manage to keep a neutral expression when given that horrible and potentially fatal advice.
Also, in case anyone was concerned, I will continue using bathroom cleaner on the drains. Not bleach and ammonia.
Definitely do not recreate the Battle of the Somme in your pipes. Avoid Drano if you can.

I heard fire and gasoline does wonders on clearing drains.
I don’t know why people tempt their luck with plumbing.
I’ve done basic stuff like replacing faucets but the minute I think I might be over my head I will call a pro. They know what to do if a pipe snaps inside a wall. I sure don’t.
My buddy is really good with plumbing, we have done some serious stuff in bathroom remodels but I usually make him do anything that could cause liability. Having 3 long haired ladies in the house, I can snake a drain with the best of them though. I use a vinegar & baking soda mix for minor clogs & regularly clean the sink traps which is disgusting but necessary & not very hard to do.
Yeah if I can’t easily understand how to do it with a youtube video, I ain’t fucking with it.
Not too long ago while doing the Youtube thing to fix our washer, I found myself doing the old trick to turn a frozen nut by attaching a pipe to the handle of a wrench for extra leverage.
I wondered if it was a good idea, but fortunately I got it unfrozen without snapping anything.
