Every time I see that Far Side Cartoon I am reminded of the time when I was 4ish, I stuffed my toddler sister into the dryer because in my mind it looked like the Apollo capsule entrance as I wanted to send her into space. (I tried to stuff myself into the dryer but I was already too big to fit.)

    Mom was not pleased. My sis thought it was fun.

    Knowing what I know about dryers now, the fact I couldn’t fit was probably good for the dryer as the drum’s bearing would have been fucked up with something heavier than wet clothes.

      • Bottom line: The regime wouldn’t tell people to stop looking if there wasn’t something to find.
