    • …it is incredible how many people feel more strongly about this than they do about reading the measures proposed…I mean…believable…it’s the internet & all…but…also incredible…in that credibility is a bit of an issue?

      …& anytime the other side of the thing wants to get level playing field stuff that…actually does that…on the books it’d be through so fast they might miss it & try again to be sure

      …have we considered making a thing like a driving test but mandatory-no-exceptions…that you can re-take if you think you can beat your score…for comprehension?

      …like…if you score less than…I dunno…60%…you don’t vote until you can get over that bar…if you dip under 30% you can’t be trusted to understand traffic signs & don’t get to drive…I mean…all tests are bad at matching the thing they test to the thing they say they want to…so…probably some methodological issues to iron out…but the concept might have something to it?

      …but…not to sound all sanguine about it or anything…but the guy I think has enough twisted self-preservation to be a junk-food eating germophobe…I’m not sure he could actually do it…I think it might scare him enough just to think about he thinks having that gun to the other guy’s head & cocking it is a cast-iron lock on getting anything you ask for, though…& I don’t think that’s actually safer than a guy in the white house who…you know…would?
