    Latest Biden scandal: He petted a dog

    This must be an extremely confusing moment for top Republicans because their former and current Dear Leader figure, Donald Seditionist Rapist Golfboy Trump, famously hates dogs. That means all other Republicans now must themselves hate dogs too since it is an opinion Trump holds. If I recall correctly, “we now hate dogs” was going to be added to the 2020 Republican Party platform before the party decided to just cobble something together declaring itself to believe whatever Donald believes in a more all-encompassing, less specific way.

    But among non-sociopaths, the general procedure when a dog walks up to you and acknowledges your existence is that you then look at the dog. You follow this up by complimenting the dog. Assuming there is no official legal reason you should not pet the dog, you then pet the dog, but only if the dog appears to want such attention. The social norms are, of course, more nuanced than this.

    • His ex got it wrong.  Dogs don’t Trump so Trump don’t dog because most dogs can recognize certain types of shitty people (usually those that want to harm dogs) and stay away or start growling.

      Of course, Hitler loved dogs and was a vegetarian… which might make one question dogs sociopathic recognition skills.

    I don’t get the fear of auditors if you’re honest with yourself and know what the fuck you’re doing (neither would be words I use to describe my managers.) In the 2 years running a production line… I had to deal with 2 major audits. The first time I did what most managers/engineers did which was hide in my cube, but the 2nd time I actually talked to the auditors on the production floor as they looked over things and they asked me questions. I had a couple of observations that were negated because I was there to explain why we did the things we did that made sense to the auditors.

    I ended up being highlighted by the auditors as helpful/useful to the dismay of certain folks who didn’t like me.

    As for current work, I’m enjoying the show.

    • Tbh, if you aren’t cheating the system, there is NOTHING to fear from audits.

       

      Heck, at one job (the one that had “The Board of Shame” to track our through-put), i had been asking for audits for *months* before they fiiiiiinally started doing them…

      Suddenly, I wasn’t the massive fuck-up it was assumed I was, because *my* through-put was “SO MUCH LESS!” than my co-workers in similar positions.

      The store managers had been complaining for more than a year, that those of us inspecting garments at the warehouse *weren’t* checking things properly…

      Turns out, after the audits were finally started?

      My accuracy in checking was above 99%–in 5 racks of clothes (more than 500 garments total), I had 4 garments I’d missed.

      Some of my co-workers were literally sending entire *racks* of clothes through, that they didn’t check ANY garments on…

      Suddenly, my “slow” 50-60 checked garments per hour (400-450 garments per day), was acceptable, and not the “complete failure!” compared to my co-workers 700-800 garments “checked” per day.

      I knew something was incredibly fishy, even back when I was being told that “everyone ELSE is checking 600+ garments per day!” because it’s IMPOSSIBLE to look at a prom dress, suit, or even a pair of blue jeans inside *and* out–checking ALL the pockets *AND* the zippers in less than 1 minute…

      But I was being told other people *were* checking “Everything!” in 30-45 *seconds.*

      I’d timed myself *multiple* times… I KNEW I couldn’t do it with any accuracy in less than a minute, unless it was T-shirts or Polo shirts…

      Turns out, no one ELSE could actually *accurately* check ’em in less than a minute, either.

      I was vindicated *somewhat,* and that ‘ol “Board of Shame” suddenly & quietly stopped being used to track our “progress,” while a couple of the biggest system-cheats got fired, and almost everyone else on the checking crew got “re-trained” to *actually* look at things before they sent them to our store.

    • I’m still dumbfounded as to why GHP hasn’t cut their losses and shut everything down already.  They should have done it a couple of years ago.  No way they’re making money with all of the shit that Spamfeller has thrown into the fan.

      Of course, they don’t plan on laying off *Editorial* staff due to AI activities!!!

      They’re gonna NEED the Editorial staff, to *fix* the damn articles (and to put in the key phrases to have the AI “write” the articles in the *first* place!!!).

      What i suspect they do plan on doing, is to cut all those pesky, *unionized* writers, in favor of the cheaper AI, in order to get their revenue up…

      And this part was also pretty rich;

      After reading the little nugget earlier in the article, on how (as we ALL know around here!), the media market has pretty much imploded over the last couple decades–heck *our* site’s name came out of two beloved, and now defunct/zombietized pages🤣🤣🤣;

  6. I feel so badly for the Spanish team members who have to put up with an awful coach and an awful federation head. They should be able to enjoy their amazing World Cup, and instead the world is focusing on these two assholes. Hopefully they are both pushed into an active volcano, but it never should have been allowed to get to this point.

    • There needs to be a clean sweep of the entire national security apparatus to root out these psychopathic moles.  The problem, of course, is that it would definitely be seen as a partisan purge, instead of what it really is, which is getting the crazy-ass people out of there.  So, instead, we just get to live with all manner of right wing nutcases who are just waiting for their opportunity to do something really, really bad.
