  1. …speaking of a monday mood

word is that a lot of people had positions get liquidated at 90k and bitcoin isn't exactly a deep market

    why i think that

…but…on the other hand…the telegraph straight up said the part about brexit being an unmitigated disaster from an economic point of view…however career-enhancing it might have been for nigel “been a proper bigot since at least secondary school” farage

    https://www.telegraph.co.uk/business/2025/11/29/admit-truth-brexit-has-been-an-unmitigated-economic-failure/

…so…still not quite sure why keir seems so inclined to outmanoeuvre himself into sliding into nige’s “immigration” policy while running scared of spooking the markets…just one of life’s little mysteries, I suppose?

FACT: If you Invested $12,500 in Melania Trump's memecoin scheme 11 months ago at its peak, you now have $118.Congrats for getting scammed by the First Family.

  2. I guess the Trump White House has never heard of the Streisand Effect

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Streisand_effect

If, for one, will be checking their website daily. That 20-something press secretary with the performative gold cross really has no idea what she’s doing, does she? Although Trump wants clicks and to rile up the mouthbreathers so maybe this is actually a good idea?

I awoke this morning with a nagging question: Who were the two bloggers who brought down Splinter by convincing whoever owned it at the time to shut down the comments? One was a woman dubbed the child blogger. The other was a man who claimed Native ancestry despite there being no evidence that he belonged to any recognized tribe. Any info would be appreciated!

Oh, one more thing: Trump’s tweet or whatever it was about closing down Venezuela’s airspace. Is this the Battle of Britain all over again, with us as the Nazis and Maduro as some kind of Churchillian figure? The tweet concluded, as so many do, with “Thank you for your attention to this matter!”

As he slides ever further into his senescense I look forward to a post like, “I have not had a Solid Bowel Movement in THREE DAYS! Thank you for your attention to this matter!”

  3. And remember, everyone’s a winner!

ZDF is/was a German broadcaster, so this would have been a German audience. Notice how they are obediently sitting in their chairs, no doubt thinking, “I am hearing music and it is pleasant.” Hot Chocolate (a fabulous name) must have performed this on “Soul Train.” I bet the experience was very different.

    • One of my all-time faves is Journey’s live video for “Don’t Stop Believin’ ” which was filmed in Japan. It’s an all time “And the crowd … goes … mild” responses to what is supposed to be a get on your feet sort of song. It’s great!

  4. There was once an AI from Nantucket
Who consumed all the water, including buckets
    Once it went completely nuts
It wanted to turn humanity into just guts
After it read Vogon Poetry, it said “Fuck it”
