I’ll summarize: At literally no point in this fawning coverage does the reporter reference the fact that Trump started sundowning and rambled about nonsense.
Another article that points out that the “mainstream media” is editing Trump’s incoherent word salad into something resembling human speech. Reporters like the one from WaPo extract points from his verbal diarrhea, and then compile that into coherent statements. Almost none are reporting the actual words spewing out of his orange face.

In other news, are you curious as to why New York abruptly halted its planned first-in-the-nation experiment with congestion pricing at the very last moment? Apparently it’s because Gov. Hochul went on a Diner Safari™!
I’m almost gobsmacked that there even are still diners in NYC — or at least in Manhattan anyway. I’d have figured that the ones that weren’t priced out years ago and had their storefronts turned into big bank or Duane Reade/Walgreens branches would just have become “curated” approximations of nostalgia where you’d pay $20 for a grilled cheese sandwich or whatever.
Oh, we have them, but they’re pretty tough to find. And the three profiled in that article aren’t what you’d really anticipate. They’re too expensive and too “New Yawk, New Yawk” neon kitsch. Of course that where suburban Buffalonian Kathy Hochul would go.
If you read the comments in that article, many called it out for believing that a Garden State resident would put up with the hassle (and risking life and limb) of driving into Manhattan to go to a diner, when NJ is the diner capital of North America. And then some of the other commenters hint at Kickback’s possible real motives to stopping this whole scheme.
I should just move to a small town in Sicily. I am more than familiar with that kind of municipal governance.
