Oktoberfest party was a huge success. Everyone had a great time. One of my neighbors even showed up in lederhosen. Yesterday was a total couch day so hopefully I am mostly recovered by the time you are reading this. Hope everyone had a great weekend, with the exception of Bill the dog b/c we know he did not. The lil dummy should be feeling better soon.

  1. Okay, I had to read about the Adolf picture. That’s pretty amazingly stupid for the university to not vet this stuff beforehand, but it’s also pretty damning for the YouTube channel it was taken from. Somebody there approved it.

      • I doubt both would show up. I think they’re mortal enemies at the moment. Marge sought fame and glory by Supergluing her lips to Qevin’s ass, and Florida Manhandler screwed up that grift.

        Of course, alliances in the GQP change faster than those in professional wrestling, so they may be bosom buddies again. Hard to say.

    • That’s what I’ve been arguing since 2021. Trump is a grand narcissist and quite fucking delusional.

      Reminds of my own interactions with Cokehead Narcissist, I heard constant threats to myself and my family about how gangsters would kill me or beat me silly. I took those threats seriously, but looking back maybe I shouldn’t have. It wasn’t till I called her bluff that I realized they were empty threats mostly. Aside from one idiot’s pathetic attempt to intimidate me (who even I could beat up) no one else ever lifted a finger to help her.

      Narcissists overestimate the actual sway on their flying monkeys especially if they let the monkeys hang like say the outcome of Jan 6, 2021 when Trump never lifted a finger to the idiots who answered his call for violence. Loyalty to a narcissist is a one way street in their direction, not both ways.

      If Trump actually gave a shit and paid lawyers or helped out those who listened to him then  I agree with a lot of folks who were all worried about violence, but aside from drugged up pathetic crazy old white people losers there aren’t many people standing up for him aside from those we see on the news.

      • The other thing is that these “threats” get amplified by co-conspirators (this piece cites Lindsay Graham, but there are others including Fox News). So people start believing that the threats of violence and civil unrest are actually reality. MAGAs buy into it wholeheartedly, but you get others who whimper about putting Trump on trial and that it will “destroy the country.” No, as it turns out, it’s only going to destroy Trump.

    • What happened on 1/6 is the crowds were generated by a bunch of organizers at the level of US House reps, state reps and county party leaders. It’s always possible Trump hasn’t wanted to launch them yet. But maybe Trump hasn’t been able to get them in play — possibly due to their being distracted by the chaos in the House, which I think has been going on under the surface for a while and extends a lot further than DC politicians want to admit.

      I also think it’s possible people at that level are thinking about the prosecutions and arrests that have happened so far, and worried about themselves.

      Reporters asking GOP US House reps about how they voted on 1/6 and the aftermath are not digging deep enough — I think they’d get a much better sense of where those reps stand by looking into how hard they’ve been working to interfere with the prosecution of 1/6 criminals.

    • I mean a lot of his core nutjobs are older and sicker than they were in January 2021. They literally don’t have the time nor money to go protest shit and many of the old fuckers are dealing with other health issues while the younger ones are probably going hmmm is this worth jail?

    • DeSantis won after Commissioner Mike Rahn, who was a candidate at the time, led a coordinated effort inviting people to submit DeSantis’ name. Van Ostenbridge called it a “grassroots movement” at Wednesday’s ceremony.

      To an exaggerated extent the right is a pyramid scheme, and this is it in a nutshell — a network of local leaders mobilized followers on behalf of a nonsensical crusade almost certainly engineered out of the top guy’s office.
