Things get tougher as you get older.
Playing boardgames with friends with wine.
The stars aligned for us last Sunday. We had a babysitter take the kids to the playground while we played Sagrada with our neighbor for 3hrs. It was peaceful and competitive and felt like old (pre children) times. Yes I was drinking wine at 10am.

Understandable. Especially if it led to bunch of bad habits.
The best part about college days was benefits of adulthood without the level of responsibilities I have now. All I really had to do was keep my grades up so I kept my scholarships.
Time to do stuff too.
Just got back from visiting our daughter at college for parents day. We didn’t actually spend that much time together, but it’s always good to know she has a pulse and hasn’t been replaced by AI.
We took my friends kids who went here out with us. Paid for their dinners and drinks (as as payment for being forced to listen to middle aged men ramble about the old days)
We took our daughter to her favorite Thai place to give her a break from the cafeteria.
I don’t miss those nightmares where I have an exam and I show up but I realize I haven’t done any studying or reading. And I’m naked.
Yeah. I finally stopped those from ruining my sleep by telling myself I graduated or I dropped the course and the dream changes.
I figured out how to do that somehow, and also for dreams with a missed assignment for an old boss.
It may have something to do with getting this book. It’s hilarious and well worth tracking down.
So cool! That reminds me of two things.
1. Each episode of the show Evil begins with a page of an evil pop-up book.
2. There used to be a book store in Seattle that specialized in pop-up books. It closed before the pandemic and I sadly didn’t get a chance to check it out.
