Hi, friends!
I hope your day is going well! We haven’t had a recommendations post in a while, felt like a good time.
In the past I mentioned I did not recommend the vitamin C serum that smelled like hotdog water. I still don’t recommend that.
I recently got cold brew coffee from the QuikTrip. It’s my favorite gas station*, I’ll drive past other options to go to a QT. I should know the coffee would be good and it’s better cold brew than Starbucks.
I normally make my own at home but when I forget or don’t have time, well, that $2.59 QT one is really good.
*Don’t judge me for having a favorite gas station. You all have been to a Mobil, BP, whatever that looked normal from the outside and then was a dive on the inside. QT never disappoints like that.
The easy one is I don’t recommend CoVID.
I do recommend an air fryer especially for fish and chicken.
My only problem is counter space as in lack there of. I have the damn thing sitting on 1/2 the stove.
Feeling any better?
Most of the aches are gone and so are the cold sweats. The congestion and coughing are still there.
I’ve also been popping asprin and advil for the aches.
Stay hydrated and get lots of rest.
I mentioned Palmini pasta on here a few months ago. I bought it because I heard it was really good. It is NOT! It stinks and I don’t mean that figuratively. It literally smells horrible when you open the package. But I boiled it up anyway and it tastes as bad as it smells. I’ve been meaning to take back my suggestion but kept forgetting. Do not under any circumstances but and try this. 🤮
I’ve found that whole wheat pasta is surprisingly good. It’s not a straight substitute for regular pasta in terms of taste and texture, but as its own thing I’m pretty fine with it.
I got a pair of discount Danner hiking boots at an outlet and I really like them. They’re waterproof and the fit and build quality seems really good. They’re made in the US, too.
Those will last. I’ve had the same pair for 30 years.
I recommend buying an Instant Pot (RIP 😭) and/or extra sealing rings. They sell different colored rings which is useful if you want to keep the different cuisine smells/flavors from mingling.
A trip on the Rocky Mountaineer. It’s expensive but worth it.
I been and it is.
Which route did you take?
