Hi, friends!
Do you decorate this for winter? Is there any style of decorating that you like seeing but aren’t going to do yourself?
I love the look of pine greenery swags and wreaths. However, I have the wonderful combination of (1) lazy and (2) really small house.
For most of the winter season, decorations for me are burning good-smelling candles and changing out the dish towels to winter themed ones. Also, my thanksgiving cactus has pretty bright pink blooms this time of year and I consider that decorating. 🙂
My wife does all the seasonal decorations but with the chaos of the last month, we are still in fall mode (lots of orange candles & pumpkins). She likes to decorate with my daughters so that may still stand until they come home for Thanksgiving.
Do candle people ever burn them? Or are they supposed to stay around forever?
My wife burns them & then has an excuse to go to IKEA for more. When we ripped up the floor & found two gas leaks, I was surprised we hadn’t blown up the house with the number of candles she likes to light.
We light them almost daily during the winter. Really helps with the shorter days.
I do. I’m a SLUT for Yankee Candle.
Oh yes! I remember your wife’s Xmas table decor. It was so festive!
Are you prepared to lose power tonight? The wind is so loud over here. Nature’s white noise machine. Except for the branches which keep falling on to our roof and scare the kids. Luckily their bedroom is in the lower level so it won’t be a problem while they sleep.
It just started here but our lights are flickering & cable just went out. I’m prepared to drink wine in the dark until I can fall asleep. My wife just got home & I got the fireplace going so she can chart until she goes to sleep.
I just read a local news account about a horrible attack in a nearby park.
A six point buck charged a man and his dog and broke two of the guy’s ribs.
Now that the kids are more scattered about, we decorate less, but I’m still going toput up a mix of white and colored lights. And we’ll eventually get a tree.
We’re going to string battery-powered LEDs on our tomato cages to make Christmas trees. There’s nobody around to see them, but hopefully the aliens will see them and come take us to Zeta Reticuli. I’ve been reading about the Immaculate Constellation and the UAPs and am pretty sure that if they’re gonna come now would be the time.
Now that I have my own place and space to do so, I put up a tree. Six foot black tree with red lights. I did this Tuesday.
I tried to insert a pic but it didn’t work so maybe the link will work.
Nice job.
