Welcome to Seven Days of Black Sabbath, wherein I will demonstrate, with tongue planted firmly in cheek, that Black Sabbath invented not only heavy metal, but every major metal subgenre, thus making “We Sold Our Soul for Rock ‘n’ Roll” the single greatest metal compilation of all time, a veritable primer for all things metal. For example, it should be obvious to even a Bernie Bro or a Cowboys fan that Black Sabbath sowed the seeds of Doom Metal:

But only a QAnon supporter or a Red Sox fan could fail to recognize that Sabbath also foretold the coming of Thrash Metal:
