Sharing Joy [NOT 30/10/23]

Hi, friends!

I hope your Monday was decent.

I had one of those days where I had the distinct joy of sending multiple communications to teams with information they really didn’t want to be reminded of. It was delightful.

I’m not being facetious. I genuinely enjoyed sending these messages to these teams since they’re usually thorns in my side.

Did you get the chance to share joy or “joy” today?

  1. I bought a cute Halloween book for my 3 year old neighbor. I gave it to her early because her mom brought over a huge batch of jambalaya. It was so much I shared it with another guy down the street. Lots of  joy sharing going on in the neighborhood.

    • I was thinking of making jambalaya today, now you’re making me wish I did!  I love NOLA food & miss my mom’s red beans & rice!

      • This is the same neighbor that brought over brisket a month or so ago. I hate my house and dream of moving but their cooking me keep me here, lol.

        • At my old house I had a Hawaiian family on the other side of my fence that we got really close to.  When we moved I felt so guilty leaving them.  He got cancer not too long after & that made it even worst I wasn’t there for him & he would never ask for help.  Ok, I gotta go cry now!  Miss you Braddah Gary!

          • I walked on my deck one day, & there he was barefoot on his roof!

            • Looks like was a fun guy.

            • Ain’t if the truth. I hear so many horror stories about bad neighbors. Mine give me firewood and food.

              • So true, I love all my current neighbors except for the rental house 4 houses away.  We do dinners, neighborhood parties & even been on trips w/ some of them.  I don’t want to ever move again.

            • That’s true. I am lucky right now. Wasn’t several years back.

    • Wow, that’s a weird place to freeze but yeah, our Samsung sucks!  I have given up completely on the ice maker now.  Funny thing is that sink & granite looks like my kitchen!

    • My parents got rid of their Samsung for partially this reason.

  2. I try to be careful when appreciating karma, because I know it’s coming for me.
