SNOT [NOT 01/01/22]

SNOT: Saturday night open thread. Total open thread. Tell us some things.

I hope everyone had a fun and enjoyable evening last night. The Blacksmiths were at home. Anybody have some good New Years stories? Looking at you @farscythe and @myopicprophet

Thanks for sticking with us for another year.

Still makes me laugh.

Rant, rave, educate, inform, ask, and answer.

  1. hmmm…actually…was pretty quiet here this year…tho the street party singalong was fun

lot of fireworks tho…..and the county council is going to be pissed off when they discover pretty much every garbage bin in town has been quite thoroughly blowed up

oh dear…..couldnt have done that with legal fireworks….shame you banned those really….welp

but yeah….sides from all the bins getting murdered it was just a party real trouble at all

rest of the country didnt have more than small scale unrest either….for a change

    • oh but yeah….as i kept to the sidelines this year i dont really have any stories…just me ambling around the neighbourhood staying away from people….

this anti social shit comes entirely too easy to me

      still..was a pretty good night 🙂

  2. Last night was fun, we started off with a feast then played Catan before playing Cards Against Humanity.  That was a little strange playing with my daughters and awkward at times but we have always been an inappropriate family.  We laughed harder than we probably ever had as a family so that was much needed.  Today we went on a long walk on a riverfront in the snow and saw some interesting bird happenings.  I’ll try to post about it tomorrow once I get through all the pics.

  3. I stayed in and did nothing all day. I cooked a big pot of beans and greens and now my house smells amazing.

Also it’s been steadily raining and dropping the temp all day, and soon we’re getting wintry mix. So I’m sure as fuck not leaving the house. I even proactively took out the trash and recycling so my dumb ass wouldn’t try to do it tomorrow and slide on ice.

  4. ALAN! (holy hell)

We braved temps below 0 degrees F at a ski resort to watch fireworks about an hour after nightfall (so 6:30-ish), then scurried home. In bed by 11. No complaints, even with the bitter cold.
