So bored [NOT 11/5/22]

Hi, friends!

Today has been dragging along and so, so boring.

Tomorrow I only work a half day though, so I got that going for me!

How has your week been going? Slowly? Normal speed? Surprisingly fast?

Side note for the bundt pan haters here, I saw a planter made by drilling holes in the top, inverting it, and then putting it on your patio umbrella post. So at least you have a way to repurpose that bundt pan now!

    • While I like the idea of the bundt pan planter, I also feel like “tell me you live in a temperate summer zone without telling me your actual temperatures” because I’m pretty sure for much of the summer plants would bake to deal super quick here if I did that.

  1. The only good bundt pan is a dead bundt pan.  Good work.

We spent the day at a giant flea market, which is essentially my view of what hell must be like.  But, Mrs. Butcher wanted to go and she had a lot of fun.

    • They’re horrible if you’re with someone who wants to look at things that completely bore you and you have to pretend like you’re interested.

But if it’s OK to split up, go look at what you want, and meet back in a couple of hours especially if there are donuts and coffee, then I can definitely deal.

      • Yeah, I only was able to break away a few times but it was just to look through some meager offerings of used CDs and there was nothing I didn’t already have. So it was boring as hell. But I got a shitload of walking in so that’s a plus.

  2. Along these lines, you can call me Seymour as my new job is to find prey for our new indoor carnivorous plant!  It starts with ants & worms but I ask, where will it end?
    Feed Me Seymour

      • I had a friend growing up that had Oscars (the fish) & we would catch giant flying roaches (called 747s in the islands) to feed them.  They spit out wings & antenae. Gave us hours of entertainment.  #stupidboystuff

    • And…….. I’m wrong

In the immature (nymph) stage, American cockroaches are wingless and incapable of flight. Adults have useful wings and can fly for short distances. If they start from a high place, such as a tree, they can glide for some distance. However, despite their ability to do so, American cockroaches aren’t regular fliers.
