Baseball
My Tigers record so far this year is 35 – 45 and yet they are 4 games back in their division. Holy suck.
The AL East is a killer.
Mets be The Mets.

Shohei Ohtani hit his 14th homer this month. Dude is a rock star.

I’d sure be reluctant to give up a ton for a short term visit. I would bet he’s not just looking at the dollars in next year’s free agent contract, he’s looking at how much a new team will win in the next few years. If you give up too much now, he’s going to see a depleted roster down the line and go to another team that sat tight.
And over in the AL Central there’s not a single team over .500. My Shite Sox are 36-47 and only 4.5 games out of first.
I am also a pale hose fan but keeping my distance while that sack of shit is on the team (though with reinsdorf, well, it’s hard to be a white Sox fan, I’ll leave it at that.)
I remember the optimism of the NY media when Cohen dumped a pile of money onto many quality FA.
LOLMets indeed.
I shouldn’t talk. The Blue Jays are in the most brutal division of all. Only good thing is that the Yankees are LOLMetsing a bit right now so they have a chance.
I know as much about professional baseball as I do, I don’t know, about badminton championships held in the old Soviet Union.
But I do know two things. Apparently in Boston the Red Sox fans have this undying enmity against the Yankees. But in New York you can walk around in a Red Sox cap and no one cares.
Also, there is something about the Mets. Their fans are considered an object of pity. But I think their allegiance is actually multi-generational and geographically influenced, but I forget who the Mets fans are. Queens? New Jersey?
I’ve thought about switching allegiances to the Mets if only because we live near Syracuse and it would be cool to take my boys to minor league games and then watch the players grow as the move into the MLB, but it’s the Mets, so….
Me over here watching my Cardinals shit the bed so many times this year
