Most youngsters know that baseball cards come in bubble gum packages. However, at one time they were given away by cigarette companies. In 1910 Sweet Caporal cigarettes offered cads with the picture of Honus “Hans” Wagner, the great shortstop of the Pittsburgh Pirates. Most of the Wagner cards have been lost, but about a dozen or so are known to exist.
One of those cards is worth more than $19,000 today.
