In 1976 Daniel Tveit of St. Paul, Minnesota, entered the St. Paul Winter Carnival ice-fishing competition. About 6,000 other fishermen also entered. Tveit won by landing a 3-pound, 7-ounce northern pike. Daniel, age seven, became the youngest fisherman ever to win the competition.

I thought that was kinda light for a tournament winner. Turns out the record in Minnesota for northern pike is 45 lbs, 12 oz.
Just more proof that ice-fishing enthusiasts are insane. The returns for freezing your butt off are minimal.
