Strange But True: Gloves

Before 1875 the idea of a baseball glove was almost unthinkable. Anyone wearing protective equipment would have been considered a sissy. But that was the year Charles C. Waitt, the first baseman for Boston of the National Association, became the first player to wear a glove. Because he didn’t want the fans to notice it, Waitt’s glove was flesh colored.

(and thats mostly coz me trainer wouldnt let me wear the lighter gloves…apparently i dont know how to hold back)

  2. Maybe trump could get a couple of the vintage flesh colored gloves so his hands wouldn’t look so tiny. Of course his flesh is artificially orange. He could have some made.

  3. Waitt was playing for the St. Louis Brownstockings when he first wore the glove and got a truckload of shit about it from everyone.  He never played for Boston.
