Strange But True: Water Hazard

One of the strangest holes in golf is the seventeenth at the Players Club course in Florida. The green and the cup are situated on a small peninsula in the middle of a lake. The green can be reached by walking over a narrow causeway leading to it.

Some of the best golfers in the world have plopped balls into the lake trying to drop the ball onto that green. There is no fairway leading to the green, and no rough either. It’s just water.

Nor will anyone go into the lake looking for golf balls. It is said that an alligator was seen floating around sunning itself.
