The Philadelphia Flyers came into the National Hockey League for the 1967-68 season. The team proved to be very popular and drew good crowds, especially at home. Yet the Flyers had to play their last seven games in Quebec, New York and Toronto.
Why? Because the Spectrum, their home rink, seemed to be falling to pieces. Four times during the month of March 1968 the roof of the arena had been blown off.
